— As previously reported, the early estimates have this year’s WWE Royal Rumble selling 445,000 pay-per-views. The breakdown is 285,000 domestic (North American) buys and 160,000 international buys.
We also noted that this year’s WWE Elimination Chamber sold 203,000 buys on pay-per-view. The breakdown for that show has 156,000 domestic buys and 47,000 international.
— There are only a limited amount of tickets left for Wrestlemania XXX through traditional means. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome has sent a mailer to people that offers discount tickets. This means that they don’t think they’re going to sell out at this point in time without lowering the price. There are still over 8,000 tickets available on Stubhub, which are selling either at market value or lower (for the cheaper seats). Only the good seats are going above market value. The first few rows (only a few singles available) are selling for $10,000 each.
Bottom line – the stadium will be full on April 6 but the ticket demand isn’t as high as the last two years.
