Kurt Angle has announced that he will not be working TNA’s Lockdown pay-per-view on Sunday. The storyline reason is that EC3 attacked him on iMPACT!, and now he needs surgery. The truth is that he’s already had the surgery scheduled for after TNA’s European tour. It was set before the tour but pushed back so Angle could work through it. It’s believed that he will feud with EC3 when he returns.
Angle wasn’t advertised locally for Lockdown outside of TNA’s storylines and he wasn’t expected to do so by TNA. He hasn’t been cleared to return to the ring yet.
EC3 wrote on Twitter that he would still wrestle on Sunday and said he would have a “press conference” at Saturday’s Fan Interaction in Miami to talk about injuring Angle.
