WWE is considering holding NXT live events in the San Jose area during WrestleMania weekend next year. The events may be made to counter the independent wrestling shows that usually happen in the host city of WrestleMania.
WWE has worked with the venues in future WrestleMania locations (and the areas around those cities), making it hard for indy promoters to set up events. EVOLVE and Dragon Gate USA have secured locations for 2015 but others haven’t been able to yet. One promoter said his show had to be booked at a venue over an hour away since it was the closest he could get.
