Backstage Update – AJ Lee’s Time Off & Return?

As previously reported, AJ Lee was given time off from WWE at her request. She left just before RAW last week, seven days after she lost the Divas championship to Paige. It’s believed that she asked for time off in order to settle in with her new fiancé CM Punk. She is moving to Chicago to be closer to him.

The plan is now for AJ to return next month as she’s scheduled for the European tour during the middle of the month, which will include TV tapings. Her first US events aren’t scheduled until June. She will likely remain off TV until after the Extreme Rules PPV.

When she gets back she will likely challenge for the Divas title, although it remains to be seen if she challenges Paige or Tamina.
