WWE has announced on their website that Daniel Bryan has “suffered” a cervical cord neurapraxia as a result of the attack from Kane on RAW. The condition is described as a contusion of the spinal cord that results in numbness and tingling in the arms.
Dr. Chris Amann said: “As of the last examination, [Bryan] did have some residual weakness in his arms, however, we expect this to clear up relatively quickly. Once he regains his full strength, he will be fully cleared for participation.”
Bryan said that he plans on competing next week.
For those who have asked, Daniel Bryan was not backstage at the WWE Main Event and SmackDown tapings in Hershey, PA. As we exclusively reported last night, Bryan immediately left the arena and headed home following the opening segment of RAW in Baltimore, MD on Monday night.
