UPDATE: TNA sources have expected Angle to miss 4-6 months due to his ACL surgery, meaning he could return as early as September. Angle’s TNA contract reportedly expires in the fall.
ORIGINAL: Last night on TNA iMPACT!, they ran an angle where Kurt Angle’s knee gave out on him, leading to him losing to Ethan Carter III. Following the match, Angle stated that “he heard the pop” and that he felt he blew out his knee. Later on in the show, the doctor told Angle that he had an ACL injury.
According to sources, Kurt Angle underwent ACL surgery a few days ago and will be out of action for several months. Angle previously had knee surgery right after the TNA European tour, which kept him off of the Lockdown PPV.
