Kurt Angle appears to be the victim of another bad promoter. According to a recent report, the Olympic gold medalist was paid with a bad check for his appearance at a Sparkes Productions event in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Angle then reportedly received another check that ended up bouncing until finally getting paid with a legitimate money order.
It appears that the Sparkes Productions company is now out of business. The Canadian Wrestling Elite promotion in Winnipeg that had worked with Sparkes in the past said that the promoters’ cell phone was disconnected, his website was down and they were told that he was in both financial and potential legal trouble.
