The release of Mason Ryan surprised several people within WWE. He was said to be well-liked, had an impressive look and was from Wales in the UK. The fact that he was from the UK is important because he could have been a draw on overseas tours.

However, his ring work wasn’t moving along as fast as officials wanted. It was decided that it would be better to let him go to free up space at developmental.
