Kevin Steen posted the following tweet before last night’s Ring of Honor vs. New Japan Pro Wrestling War of the Worlds event.
“@TheFrayMovement: Where you going? RT @FightSteenFight: One last time, New York City… #HammerSTEEN” Home.
— Kevin Steen (@FightSteenFight) May 18, 2014
At the show, Steen lost his match to Shinsuke Nakamura. After he lost, he did a promo where he talked about “going home”. However, Steen then started an angle with Silas Young that ended with the two having a pull-apart brawl. Steen is still expected to face Young at next month’s Best in the World PPV.
As previously reported, Steen reportedly did well at a WWE tryout camp earlier this year. There are no details yet if Steen would make the jump or if an offer was made to him. As of last word, none of the talents who participated in the camp had been contacted back by WWE. ACH and Roderick Strong were also part of the WWE tryout camp.
