As noted earlier, WWE.com has announced that Dean Ambrose must defend his United States Title in a twenty-man battle royal on RAW from Albany, New York tonight. The decision was made by the Authority and is teased by saying, “Will The Hounds of Justice’s Lunatic Fringe be able to outlast 19 other Superstars in this unexpected collision? Tune in tonight to find out.”
Obviously the storyline here is likely retribution for the Shield’s win over Evolution at Extreme Rules.
Triple H tweeted the following, confirming that the 20-man U.S Title Battle Royal will open tonight’s WWE RAW broadcast from Albany. That may signal a title change as normally when they do title matches right at the top of the show, it’s a sign that they plan to kick things off “hot” and then continue the angle later in the show. We shall see!
