Why WWE Is Having Their Talents Name Their Finishers

We previously mentioned that WWE is asking its talent roster to come up with their own names for their finishers, instead of just calling them traditional wrestling names.

According to sources, the reason for this is so that the company can trademark the names, as they are unable to trademark terms like “suplex,” “power bomb” or “body slam.”
