The most notable situation of this was with Mark and Jay Briscoe, where they wrote a gay slur on Twitter, despite apologizing for it after the fact, WWE wouldn’t touch either of them. Their current employer – Ring of Honor – also forced them to apologize for the tweet. Jay Briscoe actually came out during a live event and cut a promo apologizing for the tweet. For those unaware, ROH President Cary Silkin is openly gay.
