— The team of Goldust and Stardust defeated NXT Tag-Team Champions The Ascension in the dark match held prior to the WWE television taping on Tuesday night in Newark, New Jersey.

— As previously reported, Sheamus issued a 4th of July U.S. challenge for this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown, which airs this Friday night on the SyFy Network. The challenge was ultimately accepted by Alberto Del Rio, which means Sheamus vs. Del Rio will take place this Friday night on SmackDown.

— Also announced for this week’s SmackDown, in his first appearance in quite a while, Chris Jericho will be making his return.
