As previously reported, TNA recently released some office employees. Jimmy Jay, who did the merchandise promos for the TNA site and replaced Don West, was one of those employees. He did a lot of work at the live events, pushing the merchandise.
Also released was Dewey Barnes. Barnes appeared previously on TV as an opponent for Ethan Carter III, and dealt with merchandise at live events.
Rafeal Morfi, who was in charge of live event promotion, left the promotion last week. With Morfi leaving the company, and the above releases, it appears that TNA is already cutting back on live events. They have no live events scheduled going forward, as they have replaced the previously announced live events with TV and One Night Only PPV tapings.
