Forbes reports that WWE SummerSlam ticket prices have dropped due to financial trouble in the company. The secondary market will have the cheapest tickets in four years. SummerSlam is easier to analyze than other PPVs because it’s held in the Staples Center in Los Angeles every year since 2009.
The average ticket price has dropped almost eight dollars, the lowest since 2011. While this could be due to WWE’s financial trouble, it is possible that it’s due to a lack of variety in the venue and matches. John Cena and Brock Lesnar, for example, have been in a main event each year at SummerSlam for the past four years.
