As previously reported, WWE announced that the WWE Network will now be available for a monthly price of $12.99, instead of the previously announced $19.99 monthly plan. Of course, a six month commitment is still available for the cost of $9.99.
WWE’s change of a one-month subscription price of $19.99 down to $12.99 for the WWE Network was the result of focus group testing by the WWE marketing team. The WWE realized that the average viewer uses the Network twice a week, or eight times a month, instead of only using it for monthly PPVs.
Based on the data that taken, a customer who orders the Network for the price of $12.99 for one month will want to stick with the network for a full year and not just order it once a month for the PPVs.
