As previously reported, Dolph Ziggler defeated Randy Orton clean in the main event of the WWE weekend house show in British Columbia. The finish was a surprise based on how Ziggler’s been booked compared to Orton as of late and rumors had popped up that Orton was being punished for insulting his “stalker fan” on social media.
However, a source notes that there’s no truth to those rumors and that it was done because the top babyface on the show almost always wins at house shows to “send the crowd home happy”. Roman Reigns was in Australia with that crew and Dean Ambrose was booked against Rollins, making Ziggler the top babyface to pair with Orton.
