More Backstage News On The Major Re-Writes At RAW

Vince McMahon reportedly decided to have nearly the entire script for Monday’s episode of RAW re-written at the last moment. According to source, McMahon decided at 6:40 PM to have the rewrites done, less than an hour and a half before the show went live. As a result, they weren’t finished with the script by the time RAW went live.

This was seen in part by the fact that the company announced Randy Orton vs. Dean Ambrose earlier in the day, but the match was changed to John Cena vs. Orton and Ambrose vs. Kane in the first segment. It’s believed that this was done to combat the third-hour drop-off in viewers.
