WRESTLE-1 had a show at Korakuen Hall earlier today, here are some notes from that show…
* Masayuki Kono became the first WRESTLE-1 champion. He defeated KAI in the tournament finals.
* Alberto Del Rio will wrestle on WRESTLE’1 Sumo Hall show on November 1st. That would be the Keiji Muto 30th Anniversary (as a wrestler) show.
* Also on the show, Tajiri betrayed W-1 and joined the top heel group, DESPERADO. He did so when he helped Kono defeat Masakatsu Funaki in a W-1 championship semi-final match. No word on if this booking will change Sunday’s TNA Bound for Glory PPV. On that show, Tajiri is scheduled to team with Muta vs. James Storm and Sanada.
