Backstage Update – Vince McMahon’s Television Future

There is speculation going around that Vince McMahon’s return on this past Monday’s RAW could indicate that WWE is going forward with a WrestleMania storyline that they had planned for last year.

During the build-up to last year’s WrestleMania, one of the key storylines heading into the event was going to be a power struggle between McMahon and “The Authority” (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon). The plan was for Steve Austin to represent McMahon and Triple H to represent The Authority, with the two competing at WrestleMania XXX to determine who controls the company.

With recent rumors that Triple H vs. The Rock is a possibility for WrestleMania 31, there is talk that the storyline will be brought back, with Rock representing McMahon and HHH representing The Authority, with the winner of the match earning control of the company for the person (or group) they are representing.
