Report: Jim Ross’ GFW/NJPW Broadcast Partner Revealed?

Jeff Jarrett has been speaking with recently retired MMA fighter Chael Sonnen about calling NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 PPV with Jim Ross. Sonnen thinks it was a “courtesy call” from someone who didn’t know his work. Ross has said that Jarrett will make the final call on who calls the event but Ross will get some input.

Jarrett and Ross were leaning towards Mike Tenay at one point, depending on his status with TNA. There have also been rumors that Kevin Kelly would call the event, but ROH has TV tapings that week so it’s not likely.
