As noted recently, Big Show cut a promo at the WWE SmackDown television taping this week talking about how Daniel Bryan likely needs another surgery. The segment was not taped to air on the show, so it appears that it was done just to cheer Bryan up, although it is possible that they filmed it to air it at a later date.
Regarding Bryan’s status, one WWE source says there is no timetable for his return, and no guarantees at this point that he will ever return again.
Officially, WWE is being very quiet regarding Bryan’s status in public, however several of the wrestlers in the company have been talking about how Bryan needs major elbow surgery.
There was some talk that Bryan needed “Tommy John” surgery, and while it has yet to be confirmed, if true, he will be out of action for a long time at the very least.
