Mick Foley posted the following tweet to UFC women’s bantamweight fighter Leslie Smith. During her fight last night against Jessica Eye at UFC 180, Smith suffered a gruesome ear injury during the fight that caused it to later get stopped. Smith lost the fight due to a doctor’s stoppage. Her ear was badly damaged, and it looked to be almost hanging off from her head.
Of course, Mick Foley suffered a similar ear injury in his pro wrestling days, so he knows how it feels to lose part of an ear. Foley offered Smith some friendly encouragement with his tweet. Fair warning, the images of the ear injuries are quite gruesome and bloody.
