Backstage News On WWE’s Return To Japan, Lesnar/RAW, Batista

— Sports Illustrated named Dave Batista as their Best Athlete-Actor of 2014 for his portrayal as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy.

— Despite the tour not drawing well last year, WWE will be running events on 7/3/15 and 7/4/15 at Sumo Hall in Tokyo. There are already some talents who are upset about being outside of the U.S on the July 4th holiday but that’s simply part of the job. For obvious reasons, the company is pushing the official WWE debut of Hideo “KENTA” Itami. J Sports in Japan has also been airing NXT programming and aired the R Evolution show live. This was due to Itami and how big of a star he is over in Japan.

— Brock Lesnar is booked for the 2/23 RAW event from Nashville, TN. This is the show the night after the Fast Lane pay-per-view event.
