Awesome Kong’s TNA Return Was A ‘Last-Minute’ Decision

The deal to bring Awesome Kong back to TNA wasn’t finalized until right before the iMPACT! Wrestling taping last week in New York City. TNA officials are glad that Kong is back with the company as they want to use her to make the Knockouts division stand out from other women’s wrestling.

They are using the “reboot” on Destination America to focus on the athletics and personalities in the Knockouts division, which is expected to get a “renewed focus” in the company. The goal is said to be to make all of them stand out and look good.

Meanwhile, TNA were said to be pleased with the “Better than Divas” chant that happened during the Impact tapings.
