After making his Ring of Honor debut at Saturday night’s TV tapings from Nashville, Tennessee, former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio is currently fielding offers from both TNA and Bellator MMA.
TNA is continuing to push hard for Del Rio to join TNA and appear at Wednesday’s live iMPACT! Wrestling premiere on Destination America. As noted earlier, TNA President Dixie Carter really wants to present a fresh product on Wednesday and the feeling is that Del Rio would be a huge get for them. If TNA does get Del Rio to appear on Impact, it will have to be a non-exclusive offer, since he’s committed to work for ROH through March.
Del Rio is also still weighing the possibility of accepting a lucrative offer, believed to be seven figures, to fight for the Bellator MMA promotion. Del Rio, who will be 38 later this year, has experience as an MMA fighter but hasn’t competed in many years.
