WWE Responds To Big Vito’s Lawsuit Against Them, More

UPDATE: As previously reported, WWE has been hit with a second lawsuit over concussions. Vito Lograsso and Adam Mercer filed suit against the company claiming that they have serious neurological damage as a result of concussions they received during their runs with the company, with the lawsuits being filed by the same attorney who represents Billy Jack Haynes in his lawsuit against WWE.

Jerry McDevitt, who represents WWE, issued the following statement on the lawsuits:

“This lawsuit is virtually identical to one filed by the same lawyers in Oregon, neither of which have any merit. WWE has never concealed any medical information related to concussions, or otherwise, from our Talent. WWE was well ahead of sports organizations in implementing concussion management procedures and policies as a precautionary measure as the science and research on this issue emerged. We will vigorously contest this lawsuit.”

ORIGINAL: “Big Vito” Lograsso and Evan Singleton (aka Adam Mercer) have filed a class-action lawsuit against WWE over concussions. The two are represented by the same attorney who represents Billy Jack Haynes in his lawsuit against the company.

Both men have filed suit over concussions, with Lograsso claiming that he has “serious neurological damage, including severe headaches, memory loss, depression and anxiety, as well as deafness” as a result of WWE run. Singleton said that after wrestling 15 matches for WWE in developmental, he sustained “multiple traumas” including a serious head injury sustained after facing Eric Rowan. He claims WWE cleared him to continue competing after “inadequate rest time.” He says he suffers from “severe neurological symptoms.”
