Backstage News From The NXT Takeover: Rival Event, Visitors

— WWE NXT Takeover: Rival was sold out a few hours before the doors opened. The bleachers filled up quickly after the pre-show taped.

— Mick Foley’s daughter Noelle and Ric Flair were both in attendance at the show. Mick Foley joked that he was at Full Sail but didn’t watch the show. Noelle could be seen in the center of where the hard camera was.

— The finish in the Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn seemed like it would be a DQ or a no contest, and the NXT audience got very vocal whenever physician Chris Amann went over to Zayn. They were originally quiet at the finish with some boos but then cheered when Owens was awarded the NXT title. Most were said to be happy with the decision and how the match ended.
