Update: How Serious Is John Cena’s Legit Eye Injury?

As previously reported, ran an angle with Rusev when he assaulted John Cena’s already-injured eye on RAW. While the assault was obviously worked, the eye injury is legit to a degree.

Cena suffered the injury a couple of weekends ago at a house show and has gotten worse as time has passed. The injury was why Cena didn’t wrestle at this past weekend’s house shows or at RAW. It is a corneal abrasion.

Those in the company are under the impression that Cena is cleared to compete as early as the WWE tour of Abu Dhabi.
