Backstage Update – The Future Of Lucha Underground

As we previously reported, Lucha Underground has more shows set beyond its season one tapings (there were 39 episodes ordered), leading some to believe that it will be renewed for a second season.

The El Rey Network is already releasing new promotional materials for the program. They are pushing Lucha Underground as a “flagship show”, which seems to suggest that they’ve already ordered more episodes.

Lucha Underground producers are hoping to move the Spanish-language version of the show from the Unimas channel to Univision, where it will get more viewers.
