Rey Mysterio was backstage at the Lucha Undergound season finale taping. Mysterio didn’t appear before cameras but is expected to be the promotion’s top star for their still-unannounced second season.
Everyone at the show was told that a second season is absolutely happening, with the plan to run a thirty-nine week season with a short off-season. Lucha Underground EP Eric Van Wagenen will be working closely with Mark Burnett on The Apprentice for the next few months, which is likely the reason for the programming gap.
