Former UFC fighter Matt Riddle will receive a WWE tryout next month in Orlando. He has been training at the Monster Factory since last year. He also wrestles on the school’s live events, including wrestling ROH’s Rhett Titus this past weekend. He’s billed at 6’2, 225 pounds, which is higher than the 170 pounds he weighed during his UFC run.
His wife Lisa is a former gymnast at Louisana State University and is also training with him. There’s no word on if she will get a tryout. Riddle previously told Wrestling Inc that he’s not worried about the schedule and travel from being a wrestler. He also said he’s not sure about a return to MMA but is open.
Riddle only had two fights total in 2013 and 2014. He was released from the UFC after four wins on a row, due to positive tests for marijuana. Two of the wins were overturned. He was then contacted by Bellator MMA and Titan FC. He fought only once for Titan before retiring.
