— Masters of Ring Entertainment announced two events for May 23 at the Coastline Convention Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. Both events will honor women in wrestling.
The Women in Wrestling Fan Expo runs from 10 AM to 5 PM. It includes Trish Stratus, Amy Dumas (Lita), Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria/Tara), Lisa Moretti (Ivory), Terri Runnels, GLOW’s Little Egypt, Missy Hyatt and Santana Garrett. The same night, an honorary banquet called “Lasting Legacy – A Tribute to Women In Wrestling” will be hosted with Stratus as the headliner.
— In an interview with PodNasty, Iron Sheik gave his thoughts on Verne Gagne. He said: “He was one of the best, he was the greatest with a great wrestling background and professional, amateur, and he was excellent. God bless him and I’m sorry about [his passing]. He was the best, one of the best.”
— A new documentary titled Bleeding Black & Yellow: The Ultraviolent Dream is set to be released on DVD May 9th. The documentary follows CZW star Matt Tremont for twtenty-four hours and “will feature a day in the life as seen through Matt Tremont’s eyes. Follow Matt Tremont’s UltraViolent Dream from 2007 to the sadistic ‘Tangled Web.’”
