Last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown hit the lowest point of the “Thursdays on SyFy” era. The episode drew 2.338 million viewers and a 0.62 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are down 12% and 11% respectively from 2.642 million and a 0.72 demo rating last week.
The numbers are the lowest since the December 19th, 2014 episode drew 1.995 million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating. However, it must be noted that the December 19th episode was a replay following a live SmackDown. The lowest before that was the October 31st episode which drew 2.21 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating.
Obviously the big mitigating factor was the NFL Draft, which won the cable ratings race for the night with 7.026 million viewers and a massive 3.04 demo rating. The draft scored higher demo ratings numbers than any broadcast network show, with the exception of The Big Bang Theory (3.4 demo rating).
