Many of the NXT talents considered Rhodes a mentor and friend.
UPDATE x 4: Ava Knight-Salicka has sent out a statement about her elimination on Instagram.

As a female athlete I love to see the women on top. My experience was great!! But I’m a boxer, a pure athlete. I’m not an actress, I’m not animated. I’m real and cutthroat about what I do and get things done without making a scene. Thanks @WWE and @WWEToughEnough for the experience.”
