According to sources, TNA made a play for Rey Mysterio in the last week. The feeling is that Mysterio will sign with Lucha Underground, but nothing official regarding season two has been announced.
John Gaburick and Dixie Carter both spoke with Mysterio and pushed the idea of getting his merchandise into stores and that they could open the doors for movie and TV roles. They told him that they wanted to build around him as their Mexican superstar, and also told him that he could work anywhere he wanted on his off days.
