Backstage Update – Sami Zayn Out Until October

After getting surgery to repair his injured shoulder, Sami Zayn is expected to remain out of action until October. Whether or not he returns to the NXT brand or the main roster remains to be seen, as prior to his injury, WWE had plans to move Zayn up to the main roster.

Due to the lengthy absence, it is believed that Zayn will return to NXT first.
