According to sources, WWE has officially signed Samoa Joe to a full-time deal. As previously reported, Joe worked a match against Tyson Kidd prior to the WWE RAW TV tapings, winning with a muscle buster.
According to sources, Samoa Joe’s merchandise sales were so impressive that Triple H and Vince McMahon made the decision to sign him to a full contract. The company was also very happy with his work on the WWE NXT Takeover special and the TV tapings the following night. No word on what this means for him taking future indy dates but that will more than likely come to a quick end now. Joe will likely be able to finish up any current dates he’s already booked. It remains to be seen what happens with ROH now that they are on Destination America.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
