New EVOLVE World Champion, ROH Stars Backstage, Injuries?

— Timothy Thatcher won the EVOLVE title from Drew Galloway in Ybor City, Florida last night at EVOLVE 45. The plan was always to give the belt to Thatcher but changes in the card led to it happening sooner than planned. After it happened, officials believed it was the perfect moment as the crowd made it a big deal. Galloway will be back in EVOLVE but not in August, due to appearances in Europe.

— Thatcher will defend the title in Orlando, Florida tonight against Chris Hero. The card also features Caleb Konley vs. Andrew Everett for the FIP Title.

— There were no injuries after last night’s event.

— ROH champion Jay Lethal and Bill Alfonso were backstage visiting.

— Gabe Sapolsky said on Facebook that after 22 years in the business, last night was as important or as good as any show he’s booked.
