As previously reported, the family of former WWE Superstar Matt Osborne, aka Doink the Clown, is suing the WWE in federal court for wrongful death, fraud, and negligence. Osborne’s family is claiming the traumatic brain injuries he suffered during his time in WWE resulted in “depression and drug abuse, which ultimately resulted in his untimely death.”
WWE filed a motion with the United States District Court in Texas on July 13th requesting that the lawsuit be transferred to Connecticut. On July 14th, WWE also filed a motion for an extension to respond to the claims brought against them. This is common practice for WWE, as every other lawsuit has been send to Connecticut since WWE headquarters are there, and in WWE contracts it states that Connecticut is where all legal issues should be heard.
