While ticket sales for WWE’s 3-night run in Brooklyn were strong, the attendance numbers announced by WWE were inflated.
WWE claimed that NXT Takeover: Brooklyn had 15,589 fans, Summerslam had 15,702 fans and RAW had 15,597. The Barclays Center was set up to accommodate a maximum of 13,438 seats for each show. Some extra seats opened up at the last minute when the production setup was finished, but it would have only added a couple hundred seats per show. There were also a lot of tickets given away with the media in town and the WWE 2K16 promotional events.
While the numbers were off by about 2,000 people, WWE is said to be very impressed by NXT’s ticket sales. They were only expecting to sell around 5,000.
