Monday’s episode of RAW was down for the Labor Day crowd. Monday night’s episode drew 3.385 million viewers and a 1.28 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, down 13% and 9% respectively from last week’s 3.894 million and 1.40. The demo rating was the lowest since a 1.26 on August 3rd while the viewership was the lowest in recent memory.
Labor Day is historically a day when viewership sinks for TV shows in general, though WWE broke that trend in 2014 when RAW was up slightly from the week before. This year’s RAW was up against the massive viewership of the Ohio State NCAA football game on ESPN which drew a 3.76 demo rating and 10.585 million viewers. RAW ranked #3 for the night behind the game and the post-game show.
The hourly numbers are as follows:
8 PM: 3.570 million viewers (1.30 demo rating)
9 PM: 3.564 million viewers (1.34 demo rating)
10 PM: 3.021 million viewers (1.20 demo rating)
The viewership drop during each hour is obviously not a good sign. WWE Monday Night RAW also begins going head-to-head with the NFL’s Monday Night Football next week and the RAW ratings always take a hit during NFL season.
