WWE’s traditional post-PPV bounce was wiped out by the beginning of the new fall season. Monday’s episode of WWE RAW brought in 3.349 million viewers and a 1.14 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are down 1% and up 1%, respectively, from last week’s 3.397 million and 1.13 demo rating.
The viewership was the lowest non-holiday viewership in several years, since RAW went to three hours in 2012. The demo rating, while up from last week, was still the lowest aside from that since the June 29th episode brought in a 1.11 demo rating.
The show had to compete with the debut of several fall shows including The Big Bang Theory at 8 PM (4.5 demo rating, 17.8 million viewers), The Voice on NBC from 8 – 10 PM (3.5 demo rating, 12.143 million viewers) and the impressive series premiere of Blindspot after that (3.1 demo rating, 10.648 million viewers). It was also up against Monday Night Football on ESPN, which brought in 12.479 million viewers and a 4.65 demo rating.
RAW ranked #4 among cable originals for the night behind the NFL game, Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood and the post-NFL episode of Sportscenter. The hourly numbers are below:
8 PM: 3.420 million (1.18 demo rating)
9 PM: 3.368 million (1.10 demo rating)
10 PM: 3.260 million (1.15 demo rating)
