— Jeff Cobb will reportedly be one of the major stars in the new season. Cobb was an Olympic wrestler out of Guam, and worked dark matches during season one.
— Rey Horus, Flamita and Speedball Mike Bailey are names being discussed for season two. Will Ospreay from England is also being considered.
— The company is once again interested in bringing in the Young Bucks. They wanted them for the first season, but the long-term/exclusive contract Lucha Underground was offering was the holdup.
— A lot of guys that impress at PWG shows are getting looks for Lucha Underground and AAA. Dorian Roldan (executive vice president of business development for AAA and executive producer for Lucha Underground) has been attending the shows to scout.
— Robert Rodriguez (head of the El Rey Network, and one of the main people behind the project) hinted at the New York Comic Con that he would be directing the first episode of season two.
