In an interview with 105.3 The FAN Dallas/Ft. Worth, Steve Austin said that the WWE roster needs to step up to get their shot now that Seth Rollins is out for 6-9 months with a knee injury. He said he was forced out during his run and it allowed the Rock and Triple H (who he said were already rising stars) to break out. He added that while it’s “bad and sad” that Rollins got hurt, it opens the door for other talent.
He said: “These guys in waiting that have been thinking if they had a shot, now is their chance to seize that opportunity. It’s sink or swim now, and they’re going to get an opportunity that they normally wouldn’t have had coming.“
