— Matt Taven reportedly sustained a knee injury during Friday night’s ROH Final Battle event. It’s not yet confirmed, but he likely injured his LCL. His knee was still being looked long after the PPV broadcast ended. The ROH title bout had to finish about five minutes earlier than expected due to the injury.
– Speaking of injuries, AJ Styles reportedly was icing his neck after the event. However, there is said to be no major “immediate concern” that he further aggravated his existing back injury in his main event match with Jay Lethal. Styles had recently been taking some off due to his back issue.
– With his win over Styles, Jay Lethal is now set to face Michael Elgin for the ROH world title at the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 event on January 4, 2016.
– ROH was reportedly very happy with Friday night’s event, which was a sellout, in Philadelphia. The promotion is said to be hoping to return to the city in March 2016. There’s also talk of ROH running an event in the Boston area sometime next year.
