Rumor Killer: AJ Styles In The WWE Royal Rumble Match?

It’s always a fun day when you get to shoot down a wrestling rumor instead of reporting on it. In this case, it involves AJ Styles and the Royal Rumble. There is currently a report going around the internet claiming that Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that AJ Styles will not make his debut at the Royal Rumble. The report claims that the current plan is for Styles to make his debut on next Monday’s episode of Raw, with the creative team working on plans for a vignette. None of this is accurate, at least in that Alvarez nor anyone else at the Observer reported it.

The report also claims that Styles is the only one of the rumored names that will debut on the main roster, with Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows heading to NXT first. This may be the case, but it has not been reported by any credible source as of yet.

Whether Styles will make his debut at the Rumble or not isn’t known at this time; the point is, don’t believe any reports out there claiming that he’s definitely not.
