New Japan Pro Wrestling has stripped Shinsuke Nakamura of the IWGP IC Title. Kenny Omega will face a mystery opponent in the main event of the New Beginnings in Niigata event on February 14th to crown a new champion. While not confirmed, the speculation is that it will be Hiroshi Tanahashi as the mystery opponent.
Nakamura will continue to appear on New Japan shows for the rest of the month, and finish on January 30th. His final match will be teaming with Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii to face Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata.
