WWE has released a highlight clip from Ric Flair’s appearance on Stone Cold Podcast. Flair talks about why he left WCW for WWE in 1991, saying:

“I was tired of [WCW president ] Jim Herd. I had cut my hair. That caused me more anxiety. He wanted to call me Spartacus. He wanted me to where a diamond earring and call me Spartacus. Kevin Sullivan said ‘why don’t we change Mickey Mantle’s number, too’? Herd said ‘you don’t understand the business’. The minute I got to WWE, I wasn’t concerned, I had no idea they were gonna make me the Champion. There was no guarantees with [Vince]. He just said ‘I’m gonna make you more money’ and he shook my hand.”
