One of the jurors in Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit against Gawker says that viewing the sex tape that was at the heart of the lawsuit was what tipped the jury toward the WWE Hall of Famer. Salina Stevens talked about the trial on Monday (via Yahoo and said that viewing the tape made her believe Hogan was unaware of being filmed and thus had his privacy violated.
“When we actually viewed the video, that changed the game,” Stevens said. “I believe his privacy was violated and that’s not OK…I just feel like, if he knew he was being videotaped he would not have spoken about the things he spoke about. The conversation that was going on between him and the woman in the video, it was very human. And if you are going to be videoed, you would not be talking like that if you know.”
Hogan said after the Monday hearing, in which he was awarded an additional $25 million for a total of $140 million, “I feel great. I am really happy about everything that’s happened. And, I think we made history today. We protected a lot of people from, maybe, going through what I went through. So, we are very excited, very happy.”
